The Cabin
Tucked into the pines near Rollinsville, between Nederland and Black Hawk, Rivendell is a 1,500 sq ft mountain cabin on four private acres. A wraparound deck, a private trail to a hidden quarry overlook, and easy reach to hiking, skiing, and historic mountain towns make it a year-round basecamp for the Colorado high country.
Vaulted ceilings and big windows pull the forest inside; a wood-burning stove and a fully equipped kitchen make it just as easy to settle in for a snowy week as a summer weekend. Whatever the season, the deck and the private trail are yours alone.

Good to know
Moose, foxes, and deer are often nearby — enjoy them from a distance and never feed them. The propane firepit is available whenever Gilpin County fire bans allow. Stay alert at dawn and dusk, both walking and driving.
